Actress Erin Cummings ( Dr. Abbey Ward, ‘Detroit 1-8-7′) is giving a helping hand (or mitten) to her adopted city. Cummings has formed the not-for-profit organization “Mittens for Detroit”.   In an open letter to the city on the group’s website, Cummings says she was inspired after a young girl came to her cousin’s door trick-or-treating.
