Here are a few fun facts about Detroit’s number one detective…

- Born James Michael Imperioli in Mt. Vernon, New York, on March 26, 1966.

- His father Dan was a bus driver and amateur actor.

- Michael has three kids of his own – two children, David (b. 1997), and Vadim (b. 2001) with wife Victoria, and a stepdaughter, Isabella.

- Michael serves as the artistic director of Studio Dante, an Off-Broadway theater which he created with his wife Victoria.

- Imperioli is an active member of The Jazz Foundation of America, and hosted their annual benefit, A Great Night in Harlem, in 2009.
