I’m a huge Law & Order fan and I just love this show. I hope it stays on for a long time. I have only one complaint, and that is I wish the cameraman would only use the home-movie type shooting for the action or chase scenes…but would use a fixed camera for the dramatic parts. I don’t know if many people would agree with me, but I find myself being distracted by it instead of more involved with the show. At least it’s not extreme…some movies are almost impossible to watch because of it. I like the way Law & Order or CSI is filmed. I’m sure it’s just my issue. Other than that…I’m so excited about this new show.

I am interested in watching Detroit 187, having grown up in the city. However, I find it VERY difficult to watch the show with all of the camera movements….it is distracting and gives me a headache. I hope this style of filming will give way to a more steady-handed style. I may not be able to continue watching. It is great being able to see and hear so many familiar things about the city.

As a 30 plus year police street veteran of a major city, this is the most credible cop show I have seen since “Homicide – Life on the Street”. The character portrayals and the squad interactions are as close to the real thing you will ever see on television! Everything about this show is first rate, from the acting, production, locale, and story lines, to the human toll the job takes on the characters. Outstanding and as authentic as “Hollywood” would likely ever attempt to emulate!

Think this show was the best thus far in the series. Especially like that the background music was not as loud or playing during dialog. Live in the D and absolutely LOVE this show.

I work in downtown Detroit and I love Detroit 187. It is such a kick to see the streets and buildings I see everyday. The comments about the shaky camera is exactly what my husband says too. Perhaps they will see the comments and re-think how they use the the hand held camera. I sure hope the station gives the show time to develop the characters.

I watched it again last night and it just keeps getting better! A quality program in every way. I especially like the storylines developing for each character. And I LOVE the Motown soundtrack and the choices for songs they’re using in it. I’m a Lansing native, but my son lives there because his wife and family are from that area. I love Detroit and am optimistic for it’s future…and optimistic for the future of this show. Other than the raw camera style which I’m hoping they’ll change…it’s the best new program on television.

Been watching this show since it started, and gotta say it’s now my number two rated police drama tv series ever, because Dexter is my number one show
I like the realism of the show in comparison to other new cop series that have been introduced this year such as “Dark Blue” and “Blue Bloods”. I’m glad to see Michael Imperioli back as a cop from his last appearance in “Life on Mars”. It was a shame that show never caught on.
Hope Detroit 187 lasts longer than just 1 season.

I apologise as I meant “Rookie Blue” and not “Dark Blue”

Viewing this show is like witnessing the metamorphis of a caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly. Each episode is quite intriguing.
Each character is unique and likeable in their own way. Im like your sturdiness Lt. Maureen Mason. I hope this series last. I am in no hurry to see the beautiful butterfly fly away.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Detroit 187. I didn’t think a show could ever come close to the old Homicide Series but I actually like this show better!!

The ShakyCam is cliche and makes the production look like amateur work. Get a SteadiCam or at least a tripod – I’m getting dizzy!
I have one of each I could rent to you cheap if the producers are too stingy to spring for the gear.

Love the show. My husband and I think it’s one of the best of the new shows and hope it’s on for a long time.
